Change the line spacing in Word

Applies to: Word 2013, Word 2010, Word 2007, Word Starter 2010.

  1. Choose Design > Paragraph Spacing.
  1. Move the cursor over each option to glance at a preview, and then confirm your preferred option. For single spacing, click No Paragraph Space.

Change line spacing for part of your document

  1. Highlight the paragraphs you want to edit.
  1. Press Home > Line and Paragraph Spacing, and select your desired spacing.
