Applies to: PowerPoint for Office 365, PowerPoint 2019, PowerPoint 2016.
When you work on a presentation, PowerPoint instinctively detects spelling and basic grammar and you can review the spelling of a full presentation easily.
Fix spelling as you work
- Right-click on a word showing a red squiggly line below.
- Choose the correct spelling from the list of suggestions.
Or you can choose:
- Ignore All: Skips the error and erases the red squiggly line.
- Add to Dictionary: Inserts the spelling to the dictionary and ceases displaying a spelling error in future.
Check your entire presentation
- Click Review > Spelling.
- In the Spelling pane, pick the right spelling from the suggestions.
- Choose Change to rectify the error or Change All if it occurs multiple times in the document.
Or you can select:
- Ignore: Omits the error and deletes the red squiggly line.
- Ignore All: Skips the error and erases the red squiggly line.
- Add to Dictionary: Inserts the spelling to the dictionary and ceases displaying a spelling error in future.
