If you want to edit or refine the notifications you’re receiving from a channel, here’s how:
Visit the channel name and pick More options > Channel notifications. This enables you to receive updates about channel activity.
From within, you can select where and what notifications you’d prefer to receive.
Banner and feed will push notifications to your device and to Activity at the top left of the Teams app. Feed will omit sending notifications to your desktop and will simply display in your activity feed.
Want reduced notifications from a channel? You can deactivate them from here too.
Underneath are the various kinds of settings you’ll encounter find in channel notifications:
- All new posts will inform you every time someone begins a new conversation in the channel.
- Capture all replies will alert you any time someone responds to a conversation.
- Channel mentions will update you anytime someone @mentions the channel.
FYI, Reset to default will toggle on notifications for every item and will inform you in your activity feed and post desktop banner notifications.
