Applies to: Word for Office 365, Word 2019, Word 2016, Word 2013.
To change a PDF, just open it in Word. This works optimally with PDFs that are predominantly text.
- Select File > Open.
- Locate the PDF, and view it (you might have to select Browse and find the PDF in a folder).
- Word states that it’s going to make a copy of the PDF and transfer its contents into a format that Word can present. The initial PDF will remain in its original form. Press OK.
Note: The converted document might not have a perfect page-to-page structure with the original. For instance, lines and pages could break at different locations.
