Linking your comments to distinct parts of a document clearly indicates your feedback. If anyone else is commenting on the document, replying to their comments allows you to have a conversation, despite when you’re both in the document at different points.
- Pick your desired content to comment on.
- Click Review > New Comment.
- Enter your comment. If you want to add changes to any of your comments, just return and alter them.
- To reply to a comment, find the comment, and press Reply.
Note: Keep in mind that it’s possible for others to edit your comments. Comments in an Office document are stored in the file, so anyone with edit access to your file can edit your comment.
