Full screen view
When you’ve joined a meeting, you’ll observe the video feeds of the other participants in the Teams pane on the right side of the screen. Surface Hub can present up to four incoming video streams. To maximise the incoming video to occupy the whole screen—whether it’s all four video feeds, or only one—tap Full screen at the bottom of the Teams pane.
Press the same button again to leave full screen mode.
Note: You’re not able to share the screen when the Teams app is in full screen view.
Add someone to the meeting
To append someone to the meeting, hit Add people at the bottom of the Teams pane (it’s next to the full screen button) and begin entering the person’s name in the text field. A list of options will display as you write. After you find the person you’re searching for, select their name to add them.
The Surface Hub is built-in with two cameras: one on the right, and one on the left. The one on the right is activated automatically, but you can toggle cameras to match your purposes.
Beside Add people, you’ll locate Settings . Touch the Cameras menu and pick Left or Right.
View meeting details
The Info button—the right-most icon at the bottom of the Teams pane—informs you the meeting name, time, duration, date, and location.
Share your screen
To promptly share your screen with everyone in the meeting, simply touch Screen sharing in the middle of the call controls. It’s that plain and simple!
Any of the meeting participants can even share their own screen with the Surface Hub. Their screen will instantly emerge in full screen mode. If a participant shares a PowerPoint presentation, the Surface Hub user can scroll through the slides separately from the sharer.
Move the Teams pane
Automatically, the Teams pane appears on the right side of the screen. If you want to switch it to the left side, tap near the top right corner.
Turn off incoming video
In the call controls, press More actions . Choose Turn off incoming video.
Share a Whiteboard link
To share a Whiteboard link with everyone in the meeting:
- Log in to Whiteboard and copy the link.
- Open your Edge browser and sign in to teams.microsoft.com.
- Locate the meeting chat (or the individual participants) and paste the link in a chat message.
End the meeting
Press Hang up in the call controls to finish the meeting.
When you’ve ended a session, the Surface Hub’s history is deleted for the next user—they won’t see any mark of the last activity on the device.
