Link text boxes

If you have much more text to occupy in a text box, choose or make another text box and join them.

  1. Click the overflow button The Publisher text box overflow button .The cursor switches to a pitcher text box linking pitcher, used to link text boxes. .
  1. Confirm your preferred text box with which the text to flow into, or select any place on the page to form a new text box for the overflow text.

Swap pictures

Drag and exchange pictures from the scratch area to your layout until you spot the layout you like.

  1. Choose a picture.
  1. Drag the picture by the mountain icon to your desired location.
  1. When the pink highlight displays around the picture, release the mouse button.

Crop a picture

  1. Choose the picture.
  1. Pick Picture Tools Format > Crop.
  1. Use the cropping handles to resize the picture:
  • Drag a centre handle to crop that side.
  • Hold Ctrl and drag a centre handle to crop equally on two sides.
  • Hold Ctrl+Shift and drag a corner handle to crop all four sides similarly.
  1. Select anywhere other than the picture to crop.

Add effects to pictures

You can apply effects like shadow, reflection, glow, soft edges, bevel, and 3-D rotation to pictures.

  1. Click a picture.
  1. Choose Picture Tools Format > Picture Effects.
  1. Pick an effect: ShadowReflectionGlowSoft EdgesBevel, or 3-D Rotation.
  1. Confirm your sought effect.

Add effects to text

You can insert shadow, reflection, glow, and bevel effects to text.

  1. Highlight the text you want to format.
  1. Choose Text Box Tools Format > Text Effects.
  1. Pick the type of effect: ShadowReflectionGlow, or Bevel.
  1. Confirm your ideal specific effect for your text.

1. Click the Insert tab.

2. Choose a building block.

  • Page Parts
  • Calendars
  • Borders & Accents
  • Advertisements

See all building blocks

  • Click Show Building Block Library Dialog Box Launcher button on the ribbon .
  • Press a building block in the library, and then press Insert.
