Send to OneNote enables you to obtain information from any app and send it to a page in OneNote for Windows 10. After the information is in OneNote, you can open it from any device, including offline access.
Transferring any file type to OneNote is simple like sending it to an real printer:
You can download and install the optional Send to OneNote app from the Microsoft Store.
After installing the Send to OneNote app, do the following:
- Enter your desired document or file to send to OneNote (for example, Microsoft Word for document files, or a browser for web pages).
- Choose the Print option in the application. From the list of printers, select Send to OneNote.
- Pick Print, and OneNote will appear behind your application.
- In the newly opened window, decide the file destination. The content is inserted as an image on a new OneNote page.
Since your content is now available in OneNote, apply the drawing tools to highlight key information, or create notes in your image.
If you want to format or edit the text in the content you’ve delivered to OneNote, right-click the printout image, pick Picture > Copy Text, and then paste it under the image or in any other note or page.
