Sharing files and folders with Office 365

Share a file or folder

  1. Click Share, with an open file or selected file or folder.
  2. Choose a location to upload your file when you are working on your desktop and the file hasn’t been saved to OneDrive or SharePoint.
  3. Press the down arrow to decide permissions for the link you intend to share. Options are:
  • Anyone (if permitted by your organisation)
  • People in your organisation
  • Specific people
  1. Click Apply to save the permissions.
  2. Type the name or people’s e-mail addresses you want to share with.
  3. Enter a message.
  4. Press Send. Or, you can choose Copy Link and send the link in an e-mail or attach it to a file.
