Applies to: Microsoft Teams.
You can have one-on-one or group calls with anyone in your organisation right from a chat without needing to host a team meeting. Such calls are private and will be hidden from any team conversation. New data for the calls will display in your chat, though.
Find your chat list, and choose New chat to begin a new conversation.
State the name or names into the To field at the top of your new chat.
Then, pick Video call or Audio call to begin a call.
A maximum of 0 people can be on the same video call.
Note: If a group chat includes more than 20 people, calling buttons will be disabled.
If you’re yet to engage in a chat with the person you want to call, you can commence a new call from a command. Locate the command box at the top of your screen and enter /call, then input or pick the name of the person you want to reach.
You can even initiate a one-on-one call from someone’s profile card. Access it by selecting their picture in a channel or from a search.
Note: If your organisation is set up for it, you can call a phone number directly, even for someone outside of your organisation.
